This clump-forming perennial has flat strap-like leaves that have a lovely mild garlic flavour. The flat-topped white flowers are edible as well and are beautiful sprinkled over salads. The budded flower stocks can be found in Asian grocery stores as Gow Choy. This is a great companion plant for roses to keep insect pests away.
